What should be noted when installing a dual rotor flowmeter?

Xuner Instrument answers for you: Installation requirements for dual rotor flow meters:

1. The installation direction of the dual rotor field flow meter should be consistent with the direction of the arrow shown on the instrument housing and the direction of liquid flow. The installation position should be easy to read.

2. The instrument should be installed in a normal temperature environment as much as possible, and should not be installed in harmful gases or strong thermal radiation environments to prevent damage to the counter part of the instrument.

.

3、 The gear shaft in the instrument should be installed in a horizontal position as much as possible, that is, the dial should be installed in a vertical position (the division "0" should be on top), in order to reduce friction between the gear and the housing and reduce wear of the parts. Due to different installation positions, the counter (meter head) can be rotated 90 or 180 degrees for ease of reading. The installation of electronic meter heads can adopt a vertical installation method, with the meter head and body in a right angle state for easy reading.

4、 Before installing the instrument, the pipeline must be thoroughly cleaned. In the entire pipeline system, if there is no strict filtering device, a filter should be installed in front of the instrument to prevent impurities from entering the instrument.

5、 The dual rotor flowmeter should be installed at the outlet end of the pump, and the flow regulating valve should be installed downstream of the instrument. When using, first open the upstream shut-off valve, and then slowly open the downstream flow regu

lating or shut-off valve. Sudden opening or closing is strictly prohibited.

6、 The instrument should be filled with liquid when in use. There should be no gas mixed in the tested liquid, otherwise the measurement of the mixed volume of gas and liquid cannot be accurate. If there is gas mixed in the liquid, an air purifier must be installed in front of the instrument.

7、 The flow rate in the pipeline should not increase or decrease sharply, and phenomena such as pipeline vibration, hydraulic shock, and rapid pressure fluctuations should be avoided, otherwise it will affect the normal operation of the instrument.

8、 When the flow rate exceeds the specified maximum flow rate, the wear and tear of the dual rotors increases with the increase of speed, and the pressure loss increases sharply. It should be avoided from use. If the flow rate is lower than the minimum flow rate, although it can still be measured, the error increases. The starting flow rate of the flowmeter is about 3% of the maximum flow rate, and the normal working flow rate is preferably 70% -80% of the maximum flow rate.

9、 When used to measure high viscosity liquids, the liquid is generally heated to reduce viscosity and then circulated in the pipeline. When the instrument is stopped, the liquid filled in the instrument cools and becomes viscous. If it needs to be used again, it must be heated by steam or thermal oil outside the instrument body to reduce the viscosity of the liquid inside the instrument before it can be used. Otherwise, the viscosity will bite onto the transmission parts, causing damage to the instrument.

10、 The temperature of the tested liquid should not exceed the specified manual excavation value, as exc
